A Lost Goose, Sally Wong Chen

I was born in Dong-Wang in Canton, China. I am seventy-four years old. I met a Christian sister in the local church when I was fifteen years old. She showed me the local church in Chung-King, Szechwan. How pleasant it was that the brothers dwelt in harmony! However, I lost touch with this sister, and became a lost goose in this heavenly flight. I attended Sunday morning worship in denominations, and I worked and studied in a denominational seminary. I tried very hard to seek growth in life by reading the Bible, praying, and preaching the gospel. It was not until I met the brothers and sisters in Kualalumpar, Malaysia, that I came home to the local church to receive grace as a member of His Body. I then spent some time in Youn-Ho, Taiwan, meeting with the church there. I came to the United States in 1980 and lived in Lincoln, Nebraska. The brothers and sisters started to meet as the local church in Lincoln in 1982. Many of their classmates and visiting scholars were saved through them. They greatly missed the church in Lincoln after they went back to China. I love the church in Lincoln. How sweet it is to be built up in the local church, to grow up as members of the one Body of Christ. I am no longer a lost goose without companions.
